An oasis of drinks, clean restrooms, and Texas-sized typos, Buc-ee’s is an S-tier stop for snacks.
Now, Finance Buzz on behalf of the bucktoothed beaver, is looking to hire one lucky individual with a stellar palette to write the end-all-be-all ranking of their iconic snacks.
Dubbed the Buc-ee’s Bud-ee, the chosen individual will be paid $1,000 (plus $250 in snack and T-shirt money) to review 25 popular food items from the store. Additionally, the winner will need to take photos of the snacks and write their thoughts for the finance info website. The website is taking applications now through September 11, with the winner announced by September 18. Applicants must be over 18 years of age and travel to or live near a Buc-ee’s location. The Buc-ee’s Bud-ee winner is sure to be hit with beaver lovers, and opinionated fans are encouraged to apply. Despite being a Texas staple, Buc-ee’s is currently expanding all over the United States. The “more than a gas station” is even becoming a tourist destination for non-Texans, drawing attention from other states and other countries. Gaining a cult following, the haven has been seen everywhere from West Texas to Amman, Jordan. Bootleg Buc-ee’s have popped up nationwide and even internationally, forcing the tiny beaver to crack down on fakes.
