The 2021 Euro-Asia Economic Forum kicked off on Oct 18 in the city of Xi’an — capital of Northwest China’s Shaanxi province — and is scheduled to run to Oct 20.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the forum is being held both onsite and online this year.
At the same time, “2021 EAEF Economic and Trade Cooperation Expo and China (Shaanxi) Import and Export Commodities Exhibition” is being held in Xi’an International Convention & Exhibition Center in the corresponding period with the Expo from October 18 to 21.
The Expo aims to improve the Forum’s service for the influence of “Belt and Road” economic and trade cooperation and exchange in the framework of the Euro-Asia Economic Forum. In turn, it also drives Shaanxi to become a corridor, a hub of trade and logistics, and an important industrial and cultural exchange base for Central, West and South Asian countries.
The Exhibition mainly involves advanced manufacturing, aerospace, energy and chemical industry, modern service, Expo commodities, CIIE Commodity, numerically-controlled machine tool, foreign trade, etc. At the same time, relevant economic and trade negotiation activities will be organized.
The Expo and the exhibition serve as an opportunity to explore the market potential in central and western China, to further promote Eurasian trade cooperation, and to contribute to the promotion of regional and global economic development and prosperity.
