BIG RAPIDS — Big Rapids police have identified a possible suspect in the armed robbery of a gas station Saturday morning.

At 6:48 a.m. Nov. 4, police responded to an armed robbery at the Admiral Gas Station at 805 N. State St. in Big Rapids after a caller reported a suspect had entered the gas station, showed a handgun and demanded money.

Big Rapids police released surveillance images to the public of a white male wearing a green hoodie, gray sweat pants, tennis shoes and a ski mask.

While an arrest has not been made, BRPD public information officer William Sell said police executed a search warrant at a residence in Mecosta and gathered evidence Saturday.

“Comparison DNA was also collected and will be compared by the Michigan State Police Crime Lab with evidence that was gathered at the scene of the robbery by Big Rapids Police Department officers,” he said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Big Rapids Det. David Flore at 231-527-0005 ext.1017.
