Your pre-ceremony watchlist: Oscar®-nominated movies now playing on Delta

Date:

Before the red carpet rolls out at the March 15 Oscars®, Delta customers can already be watching this year’s most talked-about nominated films, curated by the expert inhouse team behind Delta’s in-flight entertainment. With thousands of seatback screens and live satellite TV on select aircraft, customers can build their watchlist or even tune in to the awards live while flying.

Hollywood’s biggest night is just over one week away – and if you’re flying Delta between now and Sunday, March 15, you can catch up on your Oscar watchlist inflight.

Delta’s in-flight entertainment is curated by an expert, in-house team that works hand-in-hand with major movie studios and creative partners to bring standout storytelling onboard, each month. Many of this year’s Oscar hopefuls were selected from the festival circuit, well before awards-season buzz – a clear reflection of the expertise and dedication powering the team.

A quick snapshot of what’s onboard now:

Number of Oscar nominees: 10
Number of Best Picture nominees: 4
International submissions represented: Brazil, France
Most nominated film: One Battle After Another
Longest nominated film: One Battle After Another (2h42m)
Shortest nominated film: Blue Moon (1h40m)

“Curating onboard content at Delta is balance of art and science,” said Sarah Downs, managing director, engagement and optimization – in-flight entertainment and connectivity.  “Our in-house team works closely with studios to select culturally relevant stories that resonates with customers and connect them to new places and perspectives.”

Whether you’re looking for stories that bend reality, uncover hidden truths or take you on a wildly entertaining adventure, this month’s nominated picks have a little something for everyone.  And with more than 165,000 seatback screens—plus live satellite TV on the majority of domestic flights equipped with in-flight entertainment–you can round out your Oscar ballot on your next flight, or stream the awards live if you’re flying during the ceremony.

Grab some popcorn – or a ginger ale and Biscoff – and cross these off your list before the ceremony:
