Senior middle Kennedi Evans had a career-high 13 kills, hitting .522, as the University of Hawaii women’s volleyball team rebounded from a tough three-set loss to Long Beach State the night before to sweep past UC San Diego on Saturday in La Jolla, Calif.

Fellow middle Amber Igiede added 10 kills, hitting .700, as the Rainbow Wahine pulled away late in all three sets of their 25-18, 25-16, 25-17 win.

Kate Lang dished out 38 assists in guiding UH (10-5, 3-1 Big West) to a balanced attack — all five UH starting hitters recorded six or more kills — and .388 hitting percentage.

Ava McInnes led the Tritons (8-8, 0-4) with 11 kills.
