The “Robot Homeport” has arrived!

On September 25, as the curtain rose on the fourth Global Digital Trade Expo (GDT), the “Zhijiang Robot Industry Service Port” officially set sail as the expo’s inaugural debut event. This launch on a global stage established the “Robot Homeport” as a recognizable industrial IP .
“We are standing at the dawn of the embodied intelligence era,” said a relevant official from the Xihu District government. The district has built Hangzhou’s only humanoid robot pilot-scale testing base at full speed and, using this base as a carrier, has laid out the Zhijiang Robot Industry Service Port. It will construct three key driving platforms aimed at generating tens of billions of yuan in robotics industry output value.
The pilot-scale testing platform was constructed with an investment of 160 million yuan by Wuba Intelligent Technology (Hangzhou) Co., Ltd. Its first phase has established 7,800 square meters of R&D and pilot-scale testing space.
The certification platform, a collaboration between Xihu District and the Shanghai Robot Industry Technology Research Institute, will co-establish the Zhejiang Sub-Center of the National Robot Testing and Assessment Center. This initiative is set to fill the gap in certification for embodied intelligent robots within China.
The training and practical skills platform is located in Shuangpu Town. It boasts a core outdoor testing field of 4,600 square meters, integrated with 1,500 mu (approximately 100 hectares) of diverse surrounding environment. It strives to become the country’s first integrated indoor-outdoor testing and training ground.
At the event, the global application collection campaign for the first International Robot Scenario Application Competition was also launched. It will use application demands to guide industrial innovation and is scheduled to be held in Xihu District in the first quarter of 2026.
