St. Louis travel guide: Parking like a pro at Lambert Airport


Don’t waste your time circling for a parking spot during the busy holiday season. Save time at Lambert Airport with these parking tips.

ST. LOUIS — You’ve been watching your flight times online for a possible delay. You may have even pre-checked the TSA lines at Lambert. But have you surveyed the parking lots before you left for the airport?

It’s easy to take a look at all of the real-time volume in the parking lots around Lambert. Include on your travel checklist for this travel season. Nervously, waiting for the shuttle and looking at the time is something you don’t need to endure.

Lambert International Airport spokesperson Roger Lotz told us to “Check FlySTL for parking to see the availability for any garage or lot. So, maybe you can decide if it’s a little full at T1 garage Lot B, we’ll do another instead. You can check real-time data to see how much volume is in those garages or lots at any given time.”

Remember the tried and true rule: “Get to the airport two hours early.” Roger reminds you that the two-hour countdown should start once you are inside the airport, which makes parking time super important. Use

MetroLink is also something to try to avoid parking at the airport altogether, and it has stations for Terminals 1 and 2.

“Also, use the number 314-890-1333, where we have a staff to help you 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. with anything you may need to know,” Lotz said.
