Sports Medicine Report is SportingKC.com’s look at the latest health update around the team ahead of upcoming matches and is presented by Children’s Mercy Kansas City.

Sporting Kansas City is set to face off against cross-state foes St. Louis for the first time ever at Children’s Mercy Park tonight.

Sporting has six players on the club’s Sports Medicine Report, including captain Johnny Russell who is questionable after suffering an ankle injury during last weekend’s win over San Jose.

In addition, St. Louis defender Jake Nerwinski will miss the match through suspension.

Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. CT (7:39 p.m. CT actual kick) and will be available to stream in English and Spanish on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV. Sports Radio 810 WHB (English) and La Grande 1340 AM (Spanish) will carry the game locally on the radio. Tickets are available via SeatGeek.com.
