Giger’s show coming back
Sports Central with Cory Giger, a local radio sports talk show, is returning to the area’s airwaves in August.
Lightner Communications is bringing the show back starting Monday, Aug. 28, but this time it will air on HANK-FM 96.1. It will run Monday through Friday from 4-5 p.m.
The show, which used to run on WRTA-AM 1240 & 98.5-FM, as well as on WVAM-AM 1430 which is now run by Seven Mountains Media, had been around for 13 years after taking a break earlier this year.
Giger’s show centers around conversations and phone calls involving such sports programs as Penn State, the Steelers and the Pirates.
