Parkersburg 41, Musselman 10

INWOOD — Anthony Ice scored three touchdowns as the Big Reds blew past Musselman 41-10 Friday in a regular season finale.

PHS improved to 6-4 and will await its playoff fate. The Applemen dropped to 4-6.

David Parsons was 10 for 16 passing for 162 yards for the Big Reds. He had two TD strikes to Ice (8 yards, 18 yards) and another to Casey Stanley (37 yards).

After Musselman’s Wilson Bonham kicked a 31-yard field goal to put the hosts up 3-0 early, PHS responded immediately as Ice returned the ensuing kick 94 yards to the house. The Big Reds led the rest of the way.

Jason Williams’ 38-yard touchdown run stretched Parkersburg’s lead to 28-3 at halftime.

In the third quarter

In the third quarter, Andrew Stalnaker blocked a punt and returned it 12 yards for a touchdown. The Big Reds led 41-3 going into the fourth when Musselman finally found the end zone on Brayden Miller’s 2-yard touchdown run.

St. Marys 46, Ravenswood 6

RAVENSWOOD — Josiah DeMoss scored four first-half touchdowns as St. Marys jumped all over Ravenswood en route to a 46-6 win in Friday’s regular season finale.

Ashton Boron, who rushed 10 times for 157 yards, added a pair of opening-quarter TDs as he and DeMoss helped the Blue Devils (9-1) build a 40-0 halftime advantage.

Ravenswood, which finished the season 1-9, got on the board in the third quarter when Noah Simmons threw a 63-yard touchdown pass to Dalton Larch.

Eli Cox capped off the scoring for St. Marys when he ran in from 24 yards out late in the fourth.

The SMHS defense held the Red Devils to 95 total yards of offense and forced four turnovers.

Madonna 29, Calhoun County 6

MT. ZION — Jayton Gibson’s 12-yard touchdown run less than two minutes into Friday’s game against Madonna had it looking like Calhoun County might avoid a winless 2023 campaign.

It was not to be, however, as the Blue Dons scored 29 unanswered points to claim a 29-6 victory.

Chase Littleton rushed for two touchdowns and threw another to Mathew Geer. Geer also had a rushing touchdown for Madonna, which improved to 6-4.

Gibson finished his Red Devils career with another strong rushing performance, converting 23 carries into 118 yards. Logan Tingler had a pair of receptions for 51 yards.
