Political newcomers and two councilmen elected in Harrisburg

HARRISBURG – A political newcomer led the field in the Harrisburg Town Council race Tuesday.

LaTrecia Glover was the top vote-getter with 1,344, followed by Rodney H. Dellinger with 1,151, Ron Smith 1,082, and Chris Faw 1,031. Dellinger and Smith are current council members.

The unofficial results show they will be elected to four-year terms on council.

The rest of the field was Councilman Ian Patrick 987, Crystal Anderson 844, Wendell Fant 735, Justin B. Hagler 698 and Robin Torrence 484.

Councilman Rick Russo did not seek reelection.
