NPL’s Wilcox named all-state in soccer | News, Sports, Jobs

The area was well represented on the Northern Tier League’s boys soccer all-star team. North Penn-Liberty’s Zach Wilcox, a senior, received all-state honors while Williamson’s Kyle Adriance was named Coach of the Year. Jordan Monroe of Williamson was named NTL Defensive Player of the Year and Northeast Bradford’s Josh Stanton was NTL Offensive Player of the Year.

Williamson’s Brady Colwell earned Rookie of the Year honors.

Monroe was a first-team defender, as was Wellsboro’s Micah Vickery and Williamson’s Ayren Morgan. On the first team for strikers were Wellsboro’s Miciah Fitch, Galeton’s Zach Pagano and North Penn-Liberty’s Brady Stetted.

Wilcox was a first-team midfielder. Williamson’s Will Gehman earned first-team midfield honors as did Wellsboro’s Lucas Cuneo.

The area swept the goalkeeper honors as Logan Strickler of Williamson was a first-team selection, Wellsboro’s Mitchell Butler was a second-team selection and North Penn-Liberty’s Carter Grinnell was a third-team selection.

Wellsboro’s Caden Smith, Williamson’s Kade Ficks, Hayden Plunkert and Brady Codwell, and Galeton’s Gavin Shutt were all second-team strikers. North Penn-Liberty’s Tate Strange was an honorable-mention striker selection. Earning second-team defender honors were Wellsboro’s Gabe Sprouse, Galeton’s Matt Zur and Williamson’s Clayton Webster. Honorable mention defensive all-stars included Wellsboro’s Jack Bryant. Wellsboro’s Jacob Abadi and David Seeling, Williamson’s adynn Wheeland, and Galeton’s John Martin were all honorable mention midfielders.
