‘Mrs. Doubtfire’ Star Mara Wilson Is on a Magical Journey — and You Won’t Believe What She Looks Like Now originally appeared on Parade.
You might remember Mara Wilson from her roles in beloved films like Matilda and Mrs. Doubtfire, but while she’s still doing some things in the entertainment industry, we’re willing to bet that you haven’t seen her in a while. So, here’s an update.
Wilson, 38, has been sharing bits and pieces of her adult life with her fans on social media. This past week, she’s been loving the sights in Colombia, and got to experience Tayrona National Park.
“#TayronaNationalPark was incredible! So incredible that I cannot even explain it in my limited Spanish, and I’m going to have to stick to English! Thank you to @cotelcomagdalena and @colombiaexpat for taking me to one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been,” she captioned an Instagram post on July 30.
“The gorgeous playas of Cabo San Juan and La Piscina, seeing capuchin monkeys (and hearing howler monkeys!) in the wild, eating amazing pan con chocolate and drinking coconut water right off the tree, riding a horse through a tropical forest… it was magical. What beauty,” she added.
Wilson, who portrayed Natalie Hillard on Mrs. Doubtfire in 1993, has more than two dozen credits to her name. Based on her IMDb page, she does more voice work these days, and has appeared on television shows like Ollie & Scoops and Helluva Boss in recent years.
Though she’s no longer a child star, fans can still see the same glimmer in her eyes that she had when starring in her most iconic roles.
In addition to her travels, Wilson has also been on hand for Comic Con, which she seems to truly enjoy.
