Minnesota Captures First Women’s Golf Award of the Season

ROSEMONT, Ill. – Sophomore Isabella McCauley of Minnesota has been named Big Ten Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week following opening week action on Sept. 4-5.

  • Earned medalist honors at the Boilermaker Classic, becoming the first Minnesota golfer to win an individual title since 2015
  • Shot a 12-under-par 204, leading all three rounds with scores of 67-68-69 to finish with a three-stroke margin of victory
  • Her 54-hole score was the second-lowest in Minnesota’s history and helped the Golden Gophers to a third-place showing
  • The All-Big Ten Second Team selection receives her second Big Ten weekly award
