EASTON, Pa. — Lin-Manuel Miranda, the award-winning creator and original star of the Broadway hit “Hamilton,” will speak at Lafayette College in February.
Miranda is scheduled to present the Thomas Roy and Lura Forrest Jones Visiting Lecture on Feb. 12. The event will held at 5 p.m. in the Kamine Gymnasium within the Allan P. Kirby Sports Center.
The program, titled “Opportunity and Art: A Conversation with Lin-Manuel Miranda,” will feature a discussion between Miranda and Lafayette President Nicole Hurd.
According to the college’s website, the visit aligns with Lafayette’s upcoming 2026 bicentennial. The school noted that “Hamilton” prominently features the Marquis de Lafayette as a character, a role originally portrayed by Daveed Diggs.
“The themes of human triumph and creativity woven throughout Miranda’s artistic pursuits echo the story of our founding and inspire the future as we approach our third century,” the college stated.
Tickets are available via an online request form for current students, faculty, and staff.
Miranda, a songwriter, actor, director, and producer, is best known for creating both “Hamilton” and “In the Heights.”
