The Princess of Wales is taking a major step back into public life following an abdominal surgery in January.

Kate is understood to be easing back into normal life by focusing her time on her campaign which is dedicated to improving the lives of newborn babies.

The positive update comes a day after it was alleged at least one staff member at the London Clinic, a private hospital where she was treated, attempted to access her medical records.

Up to three staff members at The London Clinic are being investigated for allegedly accessing the Princess of Wales’s medical records while she was undergoing abdominal surgery in January, according to The Mirror.

They could potentially face disciplinary action for any breach of data, and could be charged with a criminal offence by the data-protection watchdog and face an unlimited fine if they are found to have unlawfully accessed her records.

The King’s personal data was not compromised during an alleged data breach at the London Clinic, it is understood.

Kate speculation is ‘village gossip’- Archbishop of Canterbury

Speculating about the health of the Princess of Wales is “village gossip” and “wrong”, the Archbishop of Canterbury has said.

The Most Rev Justin Welby told Times Radio: “I think we are obsessed by conspiracy and we have little sense of the humanity of those who are caught in the glare of the news.”

Mr Welby added: “People should be allowed to be ill, have an operation, whatever it is, and live their lives in peace without people demanding they prove something every other day.

Blaming the internet for exacerbating the problem, he said: “It’s extremely unhealthy. It’s just old-fashioned village gossip that can now go round the world in seconds and we have to turn away from that.

“Gossiping in that way is wrong.”
