John J. Morgan, 84, of Mingo Junction, died Sunday October 8, 2023 at Valley Hospice. He was born June 12, 1939 in New Cumberland, WV. He is the son of the late Homer and Gertrude Rhoades Morgan. John is also preceded in death by a brother, Bernard Morgan and a sister, Irene Keifer.
John was a Nazarene by faith and was retired from Weirton Steel, Tin Mill Department.
Surviving are his wife, Kim Gibbs Morgan whom he married October 9, 1999; one son Kraig (Robin) Morgan of New Cumberland; one daughter Suzette (Kevin) Doak of Plain City, OH; step daughter, Lee E. Gibbs of Seattle, WA and three grandchildren Megan (Sean) Morgan, Nicole Doak, and Daniel Morgan.
John was an avid collector, sports fan, and carpenter.
Calling hours will be held Thursday at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd. Steubenville, from 2:00 pm until the time of services at 4:00 pm. Larry Barkley will officiate.
