Game-changing challenge room and social entertainment experience BRKTHROUGH opens near The Woodlands

HOUSTON – A new adrenaline-fueled, social entertainment experience opened up in the Houston area.

Like it’s name suggests, BRKTHROUGH challenges what we know about game rooms by offering over 35 high-energy spaces that push participants’ physical, mental, and problem-solving skills to the limit.

Located in Shehnandoah’s Metropark Square, just north of Spring and The Woodlands in what you might consider a growing entertainment district. That’s because its prime location neighbors other game concept rooms including Game Show Battle Rooms and Escapology.

There’s also an AMC movie theater, several restaurants nearby, making it the ideal location for a night out or weekend getaway.

“We have been working hard since announcing the Shenandoah location to get the space fully ready to be unveiled to the north Houston area, as well as to the entire City of Houston and to visitors alike,” BRKTHROUGH founder Braden Holcomb stated. He added, “It has been a thrill to see the first patrons who have come through the door during our first weekend in operation immerse themselves in the multiple aspects that make BRKTHROUGH such a unique and fun experience.”

Each game room is divided into three categories: Mental, Physical, and Skill — meant to spark competitive spirits and create memories.

Some of those challenges include:

• Jungle: A room where quick thinking and coordination are the keys to survival; this visual feast confronts each team with wild terrain in a heart-pounding race against the clock.

• Prison BRK: A high-stakes room that challenges each team to outsmart the system, solve complex puzzles, and break free before time runs out.

• Copy Cat: A room that will test each participant’s memory and attention to detail; the concept requires the solving of complex patterns under pressure that will make teams sweat it out until the very end.

• Footloose: A fast-paced, physical room that will get and keep its challengers moving; agility and speed are each team’s greatest assets as they seek to dance, jump, and dash to victory.

The experience is available in two-hour ($29.99 to $32.99) and three-hour ($39.99 to $42.99) packages, with each room allowing for two to four players at a time and last about three to five minutes, but you rack up as many points possible through each task.

Score is kept in real time with a RFID wristband worn by a designated “team captain” so no use in embellishing the results.

After playing, if you’ve worked up an appetite, you don’t have to go very far for food anyway because BRKTHROUGH also serves an assortment of flatbread pizzas, wings, burgers and nachos.

And you can wash all that down by literally helping yourself to their self-pour tap wall, which shocases a mix of local craft beers, ciders and seltzers as well as margaritas!
