Entertainment Attorney Hits True Crime Podcast With Defamation Suit

Media company Audiochuck, Robert Joshua Ryan and Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office and Sheriff Department staff were slapped with a defamation lawsuit on Aug. 28 in California Superior Court for Los Angeles County. The court case, filed pro se by entertainment law attorney Adam Tenser, alleges Audiochuck’s podcast on the Blake Leibel murder case featured negative opinions that placed Tenser in false light. The suit also brings claims against Ryan and government defendants, alleging they falsely implied Tenser was a ‘stalker.’ Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 23SMCV04014, Tenser v. Ryan.
