Entertainment and Music Hall of Fame inductees

The South Carolina Entertainment and Music Hall of Fame has announced their Class of 2024 Inductees, and the list includes a member of the WYFF News 4 family.The organization made the announcement Monday morning at Furman University. The thirteen nominees will join the more than 70 people who have received the honor since the non-profit organization’s establishment in 1989, including the Marshal Tucker Band, Chris Rock, Leeza Gibbons, Amy Grant and Andie Macdowell.“The impact that South Carolina is making on the country and the world, we want to be able to celebrate that,” said SC Entertainment and Music Hall of Fame vice chairman Roy Costner. “Whether they’re in TV, film, music — any industry that has to do with entertainment and the arts.”This year’s class includes:Country singer Josh TurnerPoint of Grace (Contemporary Christian Group)Chadwick Boseman (Film)Bill Anderson (Lifetime Achievement Winner)Ansley Earhardt (FOX News)Faye Chrisley (TV show “Chrisley Knows Best”)Mark Ferguson (Sunday in the South)Mike Rogers (Kentucky Thunder)Marcus King (Singer, Song writer)Jane Robelot (CBS NEWS and WYFF 4)James Jamerson (American Bass Player)Josh White (Singer, Songwriter, Actor)Ronald Radford (Musician, Guitarist) “The inductees from this past year are the ones that are calling us going, ‘what can we do to help?’ The inductees from this year are already saying, ‘what can we do to help?’ They want to help continue to spread this message of how important the arts and entertainment are for these kids that are growing up,” said Costner.Two inductees, Ronald Radford and Faye Chrisley, attended the announcement on Monday morning. Both say they are honored and humbled to be nominated. “When people show you the respect to listen, that’s a huge reward,” said Radford. “Then, if they come up and say something to you, that’s a trophy.”“You think about it, but you don’t think it’s ever going to happen to you,” said Chrisley. “I always say, get up with a smile on your face and love in your heart. Be kind. It doesn’t cost you anything. So see, look where it’s gotten me.”Robelot released this statement while on vacation:“I am so honored and so humbled to be a part of this great class of 2024 inductees into the South Carolina Entertainment and Music Hall of Fame! I’ve always been so proud to be a South Carolina girl, and I cut my journalism teeth right here in the Upstate, mentored by the best in the business! It was a personal and professional thrill to work in Philadelphia, in New York City for CBS News and in Atlanta, but my new and true joy is to be right back here at HOME in South Carolina , working with the next generation of terrific journalists at WYFF4.” The 2024 induction ceremony will take place at Furman University on Thursday, April 25.
