WARREN — Davion Jonte’ Rogers closed his eyes and gained his wings on Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2023. He was 32 years old.

Davion was born Sept. 24, 1991, to Nicole Dyson and Jehvon Rogers Sr. in Warren.

He excelled in every sport he ever took an interest in, which made him a top recruit for the University of Michigan. Later, he attended Youngstown State University. Davion’s athletic abilities led him to coaching for the Warren Little Raiders.

Davion was charismatic and witty. Anytime you were with him, you were sure to laugh and knew that you were loved. He was the kind of man who stood on his word.

His greatest joys were spending time with his children, Nevaeh, Davion Jr., Eva and Kyree Rogers. Davion also loved animals, leaving behind his fur baby, Miya.

He leaves to mourn his mother, Nicole Dyson; his father, Jehvon Rogers (Lori); his paternal grandparents, Martha Rogers Holmes and Spudgon Rogers; his sisters, Jasmine Miller (Jerry) of Westlake, Rachel Thompson McKinney of Orlando, Florida, and India, Jenai, Victoria and Lauren Rogers, all of Warren; his brothers, Jamal Coleman, Deon, Jalen, Cory and Jevon Jr. Rogers, all of Warren; his aunts, Lisa Smith (Terrance) of Houston, Texas, Terri Shellman Robinson of Columbus, Katherine McNeal, Tamara Scrivens (Alonzo), and Tanesha McNeal, all of Warren, and Stephanie Rogers of Massillon; his godmother, Francietta Brantley Smith; a host of nieces and nephews; and his uncles, Eric Rogers of Tampa, Florida, Shawn Bell of Youngstown, and Wesley and James Rogers of Massillon.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Deon Yancy and Johnny Bell; great-grandparents, Irene and William Dyson and Willie and Maggie Bell; and an uncle, Juan Bell.

Calling hours are 11 a.m. to noon Monday, Nov. 13, 2023, at Alpha & Omega Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1247 Woodland St. NE, Warren, OH 44483, where the funeral service will begin at noon.

Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
