Coconut Grove pickleball event promotes wellness with sports, screenings

MIAMI – The Grove Pickles and Miami Firefighters Benevolent Association hosted their first-ever pickleball tournament and wellness fair on Saturday morning.

The event featured 16 teams, made up of firefighters and Grove Pickles players.

Alongside the tournament, the wellness fair in Miami’s Coconut Grove neighborhood offered free health screenings by Baptist Health and free youth EKG screenings by Nicklaus Children’s Hospital.

Officials with the the Miami Firefighters Benevolent Association said the goal of the fair is to promote wellness awareness, ensuring attendees have access to valuable preventive healthcare resources.
