Climate-focused travel management platform Goodwings raises $1.5M

Date:

Goodwings, a
Denmark-based travel management system that helps businesses reduce their
emissions, has raised $1.5 million in Late Seed funding.

The round is led by Global
Cleantech Capital and JTB USA with participation from existing investors.

Goodwings said it has
also entered a partnership with JTB USA, a provider of global travel management
services and a subsidiary of Japan-based travel agency JTB Corp. Through
the partnership, Goodwings’ customers will get access to more supply across
flights, hotels, trains and car rentals.

The company’s subscription-based
platform enables businesses to book travel and then get the commissions from
hotel and flight transferred into a “Carbon Account” that they can use to
offset their emissions through the purchase of green aviation fuel and carbon
offsets.

“This investment
presents a huge growth opportunity for Goodwings,” said founder and CEO Christian Møller-Holst. “The market is primed for
solutions like ours, and we’re ready to deliver.”

Founded in 2015 and a
certified B Corp, Goodwings has recently updated its dashboard to provide
clients with more data, such as how much CO2 they have reduced and removed
across their business.
