Branson’s IMAX Entertainment Complex is commemorating three decades of movies and memories on Sunday, Oct. 8, with a Spectacular Anniversary Celebration Party.
From noon to 4 p.m., the community is invited to join the Branson IMAX as they celebrate their 30th Anniversary with entertainment, food, prizes and a chance to win Taylor Swift concert tickets.
The anniversary celebration officially kicked-off last month with the IMAX 30th Anniversary Film Fest, featuring six of the Giant Screen IMAX Adventures. Audiences have had the chance to see all six of the films daily and will be able to enjoy them right up to the evening of the celebration.
“Sunday the 8th will be the final day of our Film Fest and our actual 30th Anniversary,” Branson IMAX Entertainment Complex President Tanya Bluto said. “Thirty years in Branson is such a milestone and this party is our way of saying thank you to a community that has loved and supported us for so long.”
The anniversary party will also include a delectable complimentary feast of BBQ pork sandwich and sides while enjoying back to back live entertainment programs on a special outdoor stage. The Sons of Britches will take the stage at noon and The Petersens will follow at 2 p.m.
The fun will continue as attendees will have the chance to win door prizes from the IMAX and the Branson community and be able to test their skills with interactive games throughout the complex. The Celebrity Car Museum will also be on side with some of their famous movie vehicles, which folks will be able to get photo of and with.
The event will also host Face FX and Julie’s Face & Body Art, who will be offering face painting for attendees. At 2:45 p.m., the Branson IMAX will serve their 30th Anniversary themed cake, which was crafted by local bakery Tiers by Stephanie.
Those who are among the first few hundred to arrive at the event will be able to receive their very own exclusive limited edition 30th Anniversary cup, which is not only a collectors item, but will grant cup bearers $3 refills at the Branson IMAX for the next 12 months.
“Everything is ‘while supplies last,’’ Bluto said. “We’ve prepared for an epic party, but we only have so much food, cake and cups to go around, you’ll definitely want to be one of the first in line.”
Attendees will also have the chance to enter the sweepstakes for a chance to win tickets to see the Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour concert in 2024 in New Orleans in person. Presented by the Branson IMAX and Lifetime Destinations, all the proceeds from the sweepstakes will be donated to the Branson Humane Society.
Even when the party heads toward a close, the celebration won’t stop as attendees are invited to come inside for a free screening of the “Branson Original;” IMAX film “Ozarks Legacy & Legend” at 4 p.m.
