Attendees look over harvested deer at the Trails & Tales Outdoors Radio Deer Poll Saturday. The event, which marked its 25th year, was held in the parking lot of Elmer’s County Market in Escanaba. Organizers said the purpose of the event is to encourage youth to get out into the great outdoors, promote the legacy of hunting and gather for camaraderie. The event was created by Tim Kobasic, who passed away five years ago.
