Anti-ESG Republicans Seize House’s 401(k) Review

Republicans are lashing out at the Biden administration for purportedly allowing “woke” factors to infiltrate workplace pensions after attempts to block a new ESG-friendly regulation in the courts and in Congress have failed.

A House Ways and Means Committee hearing on environmental, social, and corporate governance retirement investing quickly devolved into partisan mudslinging Tuesday as Democrats and Republicans accused each other of subverting 401(k) savings for political goals.
