Academy Sports + Outdoors officially opening first Statesboro store this fall

STATESBORO, Ga. (WTOC) – Academy Sports + Outdoors has officially announced it is opening its very first store in Statesboro, bringing dozens of new jobs and a massive new shopping destination to the area.

The new 45,777-square-foot store will be located at 600 Northside Drive East.

While the store is slated to open its doors sometime in September, company officials announced the grand opening weekend festivities and deals will officially take place from October 2 through October 4.

This will mark the sporting goods retailer’s 24th location in Georgia.
