What’s the film about?
The Drama stars Zendaya and Robert Pattinson as Emma and Charlie, a young couple who are set to get married. But during a drunken night with their married friends Rachel and Mike (Alana Haim and Mamoudou Athie), a secret is revealed that could ruin everything.
The secret gets discovered during the group’s not-so-great decision to play a game in which they name the worst thing each of them has ever done. That’s when things go sideways.

Turns out that Emma’s worst thing is planning a school shooting when she was 15 years old. Thankfully, she never went through with her plans. But the fact remains that she did intimately plan what she would do and how she would do it, including leaving behind a video explaining her reasoning.
Emma’s teenage years were rife with bullying from other classmates—a story that’s not completely unheard of since America has weathered far too many real school shootings and has heard shooters’ manifestos as to why they carried out such unthinkable attacks. But in Emma’s case, her teacher told her and the class that one of their fellow students was killed in a mass shooting at the nearby mall. This news changed Emma’s perspective, especially since her classmates responded by creating a gun violence prevention program. She is nominated as the leader due to her intense knowledge of school shooting statistics.
What happens next?
Revealing the secret changes Emma’s world instantly. Rachel swiftly ends their friendship because Rachel’s cousin became paralyzed because of a mass shooting. Emma’s fiancé Charlie, on the other hand, starts questioning everything about Emma and wonders if Emma is actually someone with murderous intent.
How does the film end?
Somehow, Charlie and Emma still make it to their wedding day. But Charlie drunkenly reveals his own secret to the partygoers. He says he cheated on Emma with his assistant. This results in his assistant’s boyfriend beating up Charlie and Emma running away from the venue.
The two still find their way back to each other that night, when the two happen to meet up at their favorite eating spot. They both decide to get to know each other over again with a clean slate.
