Published 10:40 pm Saturday, October 18, 2025

It was a hands-on experience Saturday at the Longview Mall as Longview Community Ministries held its annual Touch a Truck Feed a Family event.

Children and families got up close and even to go inside police, fire and EMS vehicles as well as 18-wheelers, monster trucks, school buses, military vehicles and much more.

Admission was free, but attendees were asked to donate money or canned goods to Longview Community Ministries.

The nonprofit organization provides residents with food assistance, help with rent, mortgage payments and utility payments, prescription medication assistance, life and job skills classes and more.
