Denny Hamlin undergoes arthroscopic shoulder surgery

Denny Hamlin underwent successful arthroscopic shoulder surgery Wednesday, Joe Gibbs Racing announced.

Hamlin, who finished fifth in the points this past season, had the surgery done by Dr. Patrick Connor at Charlotte Surgery Center.

Joe Gibbs Racing stated that Hamlin is expected to fully recover in time for the start of the 2024 season.

Hamlin’s surgery came about a week after Chase Elliott announced that he had undergone a procedure on his shoulder to fix an old injury. Elliott also is expected to be ready to go for the 2024 season.
