CHARLOTTE, N.C. — With the holidays just around the corner, a new study shows more than 92% of people are not taking advantage of vacation deals during Black Friday.

But WCNC Charlotte is here to help you cash in.

Most people think of clothes, electronics and home gadgets when they picture Black Friday, but what about travel deals?

WCNC Charlotte is always asking “where’s the money?” If you need help, reach out to WCNC Charlotte by emailing [email protected].

“But it really is a great time to take advantage of saving on travel,” travel expert Sarah Dandashy said.

Dandashy said to look at your favorite travel brands. This could include hotels, airlines and even cruises.

“So think about the brands you go to all the time and go and check out what they’re offering,” she said. “Because ultimately, you want to have a deal and something that you want to spend money on.”

Dandashy said gifting travel to friends and family is also a good idea.

“Giving the gift of travel, it’s such a perfect gift for the holidays, it gives you something to look forward to, you could also participate in it as well or you get to go on the vacation,” she added.

Dandashy said if you plan on taking a cruise this season, consider a Caribbean or European cruise because you’ll get to see so many places in just one sailing.

WCNC Charlotte’s Where’s The Money series is all about leveling the playing in the Carolinas by helping others and breaking down barriers.
