DENVER – Altitude Sports announced that the Colorado High School Activities Association’s Class 4A and 5A high school football state championship game broadcasts will be returning to the regional sports network this weekend. The championship games will be held on Saturday, Dec. 2 at Canvas Stadium in Fort Collins.

Coverage will begin at 11 a.m. with the 4A matchup between the No. 1 seed Palmer Ridge (13-0) and No. 2 seed Erie (12-1). That game will be followed with a pair of undefeated teams in the 5A Championship game, as four-time defending state champion and No. 1 seed Cherry Creek (13-0) will take on No. 2 seed Columbine (13-0) at 3 p.m.

Vic Lombardi will head up the Altitude Sports’ broadcast team and provide the play-by-play. He’ll be joined in the booth by Tyler Polumbus from Altitude Sports Radio 92.5. Rachel Tos will report from the sidelines, as well providing gameday features and interviews from coaches and players.

“We’re excited to have the CHSAA Football Championships on Altitude Sports again,” said Matthew Krol, Vice President and General Manager of Altitude Sports. “We have a long history of covering prep sports. It’s our belief that these CHSAA championship games represent the type of local sports programming fans throughout the Rocky Mountain Region should be able to access through their Regional Sports Network.”

“We are very excited to partner with such an amazing organization like Altitude Sports and Entertainment”, said CHSAA Commissioner Mike Krueger. “Altitude is such a well-respected leader in sports broadcasting and to be working with them to promote and showcase high school athletics and activities is an incredible opportunity.”

Those not within Altitude’s broadcast area can still find the games on the NFHS Network.
