LAGHEZZA’S LEAN:
It’s really something how market perspectives change after just one calendar year, based off the smallest and highly variant samples imaginable. You may have guessed by now I’m referring the Houston Texans, who are just (+110) to win a division that combined for a league-low 25 wins in 2024.
After his phenomenal 2023 rookie season, most talking heads prepared C.J. Stroud’s ticket for Canton. Now fast forward a full year, one replete with chronic protection issues and O-line injuries mind you, and suddenly he’s persona non grata? Well, I refuse to throw the baby out with the bathwater after Houston addressed their vulnerabilities in the trenches, signing LT Cam Robinson, trading for G Ed Ingram and drafting T Aireontae Ersery out of Minnesota in the second.
Now add impact players Christian Kirk and Nick Chubb into the fold on offense — and finally the Texans achieved the roster depth that failed them in 2024. Indianapolis and Jacksonville remain interesting on offense but neither possess the defense it’s going to take to win the South.

I’m absolutely betting TEXANS TO WIN THE AFC SOUTH (+110) on Draftkings before the market sharpens and this closes at (-145) where it belongs.
