The victim was killed on the spot. The murderers cursed the woman “Demon” “Never excuse from death” and such phrases, as we can gather from various sources. Except one who was acquitted as he was below the age of criminal responsibility and was given separate treatment, the other five were under criminal detention suspected of intentional homicide”, said one of the conveners of AU.
The convener also informed that the six perpetrators were the members of Eastern Lightning Cult, and resorted to violence because they failed to expand their membership.
According to the convener, on August 21, 2014, Intermediate People’s Court of Yantai, Shandong held a public hearing. It was known that five members of Eastern Lightning Cult who were accused of intentional homicide and using cult to interfere the implementation of law invited a total of nine lawyers. The minor Zhang had one lawyer, with the other four people had two lawyers each. Five people claimed, “even if sentenced to death, we will survive”. On November 10, 2014, the families of the victims told the media that they had withdrawn the protest application and that they did not want to talk about the event anymore”, added the convener.
